The “Invisible World” Art Exhibition is a joint collaboration between myself as painter and Susan Zeppellini as ceramicist, and is well underway.
Thank you to each and every one who came and supported our launch event. It was great! But it doesn’t stop there. The exhibition continues until 1st September 2018 at The Workers Gallery. Each Saturday from 11.30am to 2.30pm we are in residence at the gallery for open and informal chats about our work with sketchbooks and images to hand that show progression of ideas to the finished art works. Our last Saturday, will be on the last day of the art exhibition, on 1st September.
Susan and myself have worked hard. We studied, discussed, shared knowledge and formed ideas that culminated in a cohesive exhibition. For me, there is always a “hold your breath” moment when showing new work to a discerning public. Maybe because my work has now veered from the recognisable into the unknown. For the most part, my new work is a fair representation of what I see, a reality that without a microscope, goes undetected in our normal everyday lives. Yet, when looked at without the knowledge of what you are seeing, my work appears abstract, a selection of arranged colours, shapes and patterns.
Our exhibition continues to run at The Workers Gallery until 1st September 2018. The Workers Gallery is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 4.30pm at 99 Ynyshir Road, Ynyshir, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Wales, CF39 0EN.
