I'm really passionate about my own carbon footprint, and while I reluctantly contribute to environmental pollution because of modern living, I do my best to reduce my own small effect.  Sometimes I touch on how my work and life in general impact on the environment and what I do to mitigate this impact in my normal daily life.

    My Wish For All in 2026 is Love, Peace and a Care For Nature

    My whimsical doodle wish for everyone in 2026. Let there be Peace, Love and a Care for Nature. We are part of nature and we are also custodians of nature, not only on the ground, but also in the sky and the sea. 

    This was created using my Samsung Tablet and the Clip Studio Paint programme.  Apart from the 2026 numbers, the rest was created by me just doodling my thoughts and wishes for the New Year.

    I gain much inspiration for my art from the natural world, from coast to woodland walks. However, it breaks my heart when I see plastic bottles and cans casually thrown away, and plastic bags and even dog poo bags hanging from trees. I was brought up in an era of ‘take your rubbish home with you’. It was instilled in us from early childhood.

    We have a small garden which I hope we will be able to maintain for many years to come,

    Protect The Environment And Don't Pour Acrylic Paint Down The Drain

    I love acrylic paint as a medium. It's vibrant and flexible enough for different techniques. Acrylic though is plastic paint. When we paint with acrylics, we rinse our brushes in a tub of water. Each time we rinse, we deposit acrylic particles in the water . If you pour all this down the drain, gradually over time there will be a build up of acrylic sludge. It's not good for your drain and it's definitely not good for the environment.
