Caerphilly Creatives Art Week 2016 Banner

Art Week is happening! 9th to 15th July 2016 with pop up exhibitions throughout Ystrad Mynach and beyond. Because Dai the Digger is still in our garden (he's been there so long he now has a name!) and building works are ongoing at home, I've not been able to take part in the Open Studio events during the week, but I am taking part in the pop up exhibitions. A call out to local businesses was made for exhibition space to create the trail.

This is the third year of the Art Week and Trail (previously known as Caerphilly Creatives) and it has expanded to take in not only Caerphilly borough, but it's neighbours too. There's lots to see from sculptures, potters, painters, glass fusers and more!

I have been allocated space in three places as part of the pop up exhibition trail. I can't say what my spaces will look like yet because the arrangement was to deliver work to a rendezvous for hanging. So it will be a case of "Watch This Space!". But I've just been told where I will be....

I will be in:-

The Family Dental Clinic in Ystrad Mynach. My paintings of algae will be shown, inspired from my microscope studies of water from the birdbath. These paintings show many forms of algae, some magnified to 1000 times.

M and R Barbers, Ystrad Mynach. I will have my Grand Prix F1 paintings there on show.

The Living Room Cafe in New Tredegar. A couple of my large landscape paintings of local parks will be displayed.
