All that's needed to create ACEOs or Artist Trading Cards is a little space
It's been a difficult few weeks and my studio is stacked full of large boxes from floor to ceiling. But I do have a little space to work. It actually reminds me of my imaginative childhood when we created little dens out of boxes to play in. So, I am for the time being working in a little den!
Our home will be great though when the extension is finished. I'm so looking forward to having the space to actually fit the fridge into the kitchen. In between finding room to put things as the old kitchen gets ripped out, and valiantly fighting the constant battle with dust, I've sought sanctuary in the little den of my studio to paint artist trading cards for the BIGsmallART exhibition coming up soon at the Workers Gallery.
Instead of touring, this time it has been opened up nationally for a single exhibition, so I'm looking forward to seeing the huge variety of art work that will be on show, including some miniature sculptures! My mini paintings are in acrylic, and I've focused this year on the wild flowers that grace our countryside.
The BIGsmallART NATION Exhibition will run from 14th July to 27th August 2016. Check out The Workers Gallery for more information.
